As you grow up, you learn that there is a big distinction between the two… well at least you should. For this post, I am going to need to rely on everyone reading. So, I see a huge difference but maybe I’m crazy. So I need you guys to vote on who vs. what you are. Even if you usually just read, I REALLY need your input on this on so please comment.
Here I go….
Who: I am outgoing, friendly, self-reliant (somewhat self-absorbed too:)) and creative. I don’t take many things seriously cuz I have been through enough serious shit to know better. I am giggly. I smile alot. I am loud, outspoken and a bit harsh.
What: I am a writer (hard to tell from these entries but true). I am a friend. I am a coffee addict.
In the case of my good friend at Unthreaded, who says he will only send me a t-shirt if I write this:
Who: intelligent, witty
What: super cool and sexy.
You seeing the difference? What you are is not who you are. For example, changing a habit would not change who you are but what you are. If I stopped drinking coffee, I wouldn’t be less me.. just possibly less awake.

I don’t get it. Perhaps I’m just not tall enough for this ride…
If you take away the friend, you’d be less you. And if you took away SmugMonkey’s coolness sexiness, he’d be less him.
Help?

then perhaps they went under the wrong columns.. it is sweet to say they are inherent qualities to each of us though:) the who column are qualities that are inherently in you. The what are what you choose to be…

Ooooooooh. Gotcha. And now I’m supposed to tell you who and what I am? (Baby steps…)

Yes please… or at least that you get the concept of what you choose to be does not make you who you are… for example if you choose to stop being a drunk.. it doesn’t change who you are

Buuuuurn.
I am inherently angelic and awesome. I choose to be obnoxious and somewhat annoying.

Who I am: I’m 27 years old (though I feel like I’ve been an adult since age 13). I love to laugh, I’m uber-sensetive and compassionate. I manage to be a pretty decent daughter to the ‘rents (95% of the time). I’m a good wife to a great husband…and someday I hope to be a mom.
What I am: I’m an Obsessive-Compulsive packrat. I don’t get to pick up too many other traits or habits b/c I’m too busy obsessing over the things I’m hoarding away.

Who I am: Choc-full o’ idiosyncrasies and creativity, as loyal as a golden retriever, but without the fleas and drinking out of the toilet thing, slightly crazy, but the good kind of crazy. The kind that doesn’t require heavy meds.
What I am: a sarcastic bitch, horrible budgeter and all-around entertainment to all

I must not be grown up. Big surprise huh?
I think it goes along with being this Smug. Who I am makes me what I am.
